Well.

I see that all of those who were asked stepped forward and accepted the opportunity before them.

You were smart to seize this rare chance, to risk the danger. Your deeds were noticed, spreading more fear, more anxiety across this nation that has too long been held docile and weak under the Mudbloods' sway.

That will change, though. And you will be part of that change.

Some of you succeeded beyond even my expectations. Others...I had thought better of you.

In two weeks' time, there will be a meeting. I will be there. You will also be there. We have much to discuss.

You will receive a portkey in the days before the meeting, as well as instructions on when it will be activated.

If you are not there, I will take that as your dismissal of the cause. And those that walk away from the power, when knowing what's at stake, they will face the fiercest retribution when we gain control.

Greetings.

You know who I am. Either you have had the honour of meeting with me in person over the past few months, or you can sense the power and importance in this message.

It is this awareness, this distinct talent you have to recognize and appreciate power, that has brought you to my attention. For this talent, my young student, you have in your hands the keys to tremendous power.

If you follow me, you will drink deep from the well of wisdom. You will know truths beyond telling, secrets and horrors that would make a man quake in his boots and weep. You will see things that have not been seen by man before, hear the screams of the guilty and choirs singing your praises.

Follow me, and you will see the world made anew in the way we wish it.

But you have to prove yourself to me first. I do not allow the weak-willed, the cowardly the privelege to learn from me. Before I open your eyes to worlds unseen and let you assist me in this glorious apocalypse, you need to do something for me first.

Enclosed with this letter is the name and address of a family. To show you're worthy to join me and have riches untold, I need you to hurt these people. In the two weeks leading up to New Year's Eve, you will cause these people pain. You don't need to know who they are or why them. Show your trust.

Cause chaos for me to prove yourself. I will give you no more instructions than that.

Impress me. I will be watching.

*note is accompanied by a card bearing the name and address of a family, some Muggle, some Muggleborn, some purebloods with Muggle sympathies*

*3 minutes after being open, the note burns up with a flash of smoke showing the Dark Mark, leaving only the name and address intact*

Let's pretend he's got this on just a pure-blood filter, yeah? Basically, if your character is going to cause a fuss about it, pretend that they can't read it. This will eventually become just the DE filter.))

I, for one, am shocked and appalled at the Ministry's responses to this later bout of civic concern. Citizens should not be punished for clamouring for the justice that the government is refusing to provide out of fear of offending an overly powerful minority.

As though citizens of this nation should be blamed for being sympathetic to a grieving family? They were peaceful protests until the esteemed Mudblood-owned Aurors started in on the people expressing their concerns in a peaceful manner.

We demand justice for the atrocities committed against a defenseless family by a group that thinks they can do no wrong.

I will be in Hogsmeade next week, hoping to foster support for the prosecution of the perpetrators of this awful crime, if you would like to join me.

The Mudbloods will not get away with this again.

I am quite pleased with how that turned out. It was a...refreshing exercise.

Merciful, Ichabod, I was pleased with your participation. Merciful, your...enthusiasm in particular suited the project well. Do not mistake to think that such reckless abandon will be tolerated in all other ventures.

Such a pity that those poor Mudbloods happened to be by just as we were finishing up. The filth seem to have such timing.

And now we sit back and we wait.

I find that the stories reported in the papers have been very...quaint as of late. Photos of the fool Minister dressed as a fop as though it matters.

Well, we shall simply have to see if the Daily Prophet can find something more newsworthy, won't we? I am only concerned with the reading trends of my fellow citizens, after all. We wouldn't want them to lose sight of the more important matters in the country, would we?

Ichabod and Merciful, you will both come to me on Monday night. I assume you have the sense to use discretion. You will bring your masks when you come.

Merciful, I will speak to you about your predilection towards wooing young, eager pups to our side without my express permission. While I admire your...enthusiasm for the cause, I do not appreciate your failure to inform me.

All of you dear children pouring your hearts and dreams out for the world to see.

Interesting, indeed.

Yes, this shall make things all quite a bit easier.

((Still not entirely sure how Voldemort's journal will work. It'll be less of a journal and more just a means of communication. Also, if you comment on his journal and he occasionally just doesn't respond, it's because he doesn't want to play with you, on account of Voldy being the Ultimate Bitch.))
